-
This is a team game similar to basketball in which the aim is to
throw a large ball into a high level basket or goal.
-
Teams are usually single sex, and, traditionally in
the UK, netball has been a game for girls, especially in school, though it
is played by adults as well.

Skills and people
-
Netball can be
played both indoors and outdoors and by people of all ages and abilities
and both sexes.
-
While you can practice shooting and other basketball moves on your own,
your need two teams in order to play properly. Most people join
local groups or clubs for this purpose.
-
It is better if the people you play with are of roughly
the same standard and physical ability as yourself.
Equipment or clothing
A place or facilities
